TripLife allows you to create, import, manage, and review travel information. Depending on the features you use, we may process information such as:

- Places, addresses, geographic coordinates, and saved locations
- Activities, notes, tags, categories, and related travel details
- Flights, flight numbers, airports, departure and arrival times, flight routes, and flight status information
- Expenses, amounts, currencies, categories, custom tags, and linked plans
- Trip covers, photos, imported images, thumbnails, and other media you choose to add
- Travel statistics, such as trip count, destinations, places, days, distance, hotels, restaurants, flight count, flight distance, and flight time
- Hotel, restaurant, accommodation brand, or travel-career progress information where supported
This information is used to provide TripLife’s core travel planning, travel management, trip recording, memory, statistics, sharing, and review experiences.
1.3 Location and route information
TripLife may request access to location information when you use features that depend on travel context, maps, route recording, current-place actions, weather, or trip progress.
Depending on your permission settings and the features you enable, location-related information may include:
- Current location
- Location updates while using the app
- Background location updates where required for trip recording or related features
- Recorded trip routes, movement points, timestamps, and distance information
- Region-monitoring or significant-location-change information used to support trip recording or app-resume behavior
- Location-derived country or destination information
Location information is used to support features such as trip recording, map display, current-place actions, trip memories, route visualization, travel statistics, location-based reminders, and weather or destination context.
You can control location access through your device settings. If you disable location access, some features, such as trip recording, current-location display, location-based weather, route memories, or automatic travel context, may not work as intended.
1.4 Photos, media, and visual content
If you grant photo library access or choose media from your device, TripLife may process:
- Photos or images you select
- Trip covers
- Imported trip photos
- Generated thumbnails or preview images
- Shared images or visual memory content
We use this information to display trip covers, memories, travel cards, sharing previews, and other media-based features.
You can manage photo access through your device settings. If you deny photo access, features that require photo import or media selection may be unavailable.
1.5 Calendar, notifications, motion, and device permissions
TripLife may request access to Apple system permissions depending on the features you use.

- Calendar access, to create, update, or sync travel-related calendar events
- Notifications, to send itinerary reminders, trip-recording alerts, status updates, or other travel-related notifications
- Motion and fitness information, where supported, to improve movement-related or recording-related experiences
- Device and system information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, and diagnostic state
You can manage these permissions through your device settings. Some features may be limited if you deny or revoke permissions.
1.6 Subscription, purchase, trial, and referral information
TripLife may process subscription and access-related information to provide TripLife Pro and related benefits.
This may include:
- App Store subscription status
- Product identifiers
- Purchase, renewal, expiration, cancellation, refund, or restore-purchase state
- Trial eligibility or trial access status
- Referral codes, referral activation, redemption state, reward progress, and access-related benefits
- Pro eligibility and feature-unlock state
Payments are processed through Apple and the App Store. TripLife does not directly receive or store your full payment card details.
We may use third-party subscription infrastructure, such as RevenueCat, to help manage subscription status, entitlements, trial access, and purchase restoration.
1.7 AI-related information
TripLife may provide AI-assisted features, such as travel tips, destination tips, itinerary-related suggestions, or other travel-context recommendations.
Depending on your settings, device capabilities, subscription status, and selected model, AI-related processing may occur:
- On device, such as through Apple Intelligence or other local capabilities where available
- Through TripLife’s cloud-based services
- Through third-party AI service providers where required to provide advanced AI features
When cloud-based AI features are used, TripLife may process or transmit only the information reasonably necessary to provide the feature, such as destination names, trip context, selected travel details, or prompt-related information.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for certain decisions. You should independently verify important travel, safety, legal, visa, weather, transportation, booking, or health-related information before relying on it.
You can manage AI-related settings in the app where supported.
1.8 App usage, diagnostics, logs, and technical information
We may collect or process technical and diagnostic information to operate, secure, debug, and improve TripLife.

TripLife stores many types of travel information on your device, including trip details, itinerary data, places, routes, photos, settings, cache files, and other app data.
Local storage helps TripLife provide a fast and private travel experience.
3.2 iCloud and CloudKit
If you enable iCloud Sync or use features that depend on Apple’s iCloud infrastructure, certain TripLife data may be synchronized using Apple iCloud and CloudKit.
This may include trip data, itinerary details, places, activities, flights, expenses, route information, settings, and other data required to provide sync or sharing features.
iCloud Sync allows your TripLife data to be available across devices signed in to the same Apple ID, subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s service availability.
TripLife Pro may be required to enable certain iCloud Sync features.
Apple’s processing of iCloud and CloudKit data is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
3.3 Shared trips and CloudKit sharing
If you invite another person to access a shared trip, or if you accept a shared trip invitation, certain trip-related information may be made available to the participants of that shared trip.
Shared information may include trip details, places, activities, flights, notes, routes, and other content associated with the shared trip.
When you stop sharing, delete content, leave a shared trip, or delete your account, the effect may depend on your role, the state of the shared trip, Apple CloudKit behavior, and whether other participants have access to copies or shared records.
You should only share trips with people you trust.
3.4 TripLife services
Some features may require TripLife-operated backend services, including account, subscription eligibility, referral, trial, AI, configuration, or support-related services.
Where TripLife services process your information, we apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.

You can control motion and fitness access through your device settings where applicable.

Where supported, you can enable, disable, or configure AI-assisted features in TripLife settings.
Some AI models or advanced AI features may require TripLife Pro.

Please be aware that information shown on lock screens, widgets, watch faces, or shared previews may be visible to people near your device.
You can manage these features through TripLife settings, system settings, widget settings, Watch settings, or notification settings where applicable.
7. Data management, cache, retention, and deletion

TripLife may provide in-app data management tools that allow you to view sync status, manage iCloud Sync, clear caches, or delete certain local data.
Cache categories may include:

Clearing cache may remove temporary or downloaded files but may not delete original trip records, account data, iCloud data, shared trip data, or data retained for legal or operational purposes.
